TIMELINE OF EVENTS

The Ancients use yet-as-unnamed planet to build the first NOVAs, star rods, etc.

Extensive earthquake after Ancients are no longer caretaking the planet causes the volcano that takes up most of the planet to erupt. Master Crown and Lor Starcutter are buried underneath the cooling lava; Landia is badly injured.

Machines still remaining on the planet begin to repair the factories and other processing plants.

Soon after, Halcandrians settle on abandoned factory planet and name it.

A younger Magolor finds the wounded Landia during his exploration and begins taking care of her in secret, bringing her food and helping her regain her strength. They become friends and she tells him about some of the planet's past.

Magolor begins to spend more time with Landia than others of his own age.

Devastating earthquake reoccurs years later without the volcano erupting, when
Magolor is a young adult. Since tremors have not occurred on Halcandra in some time, the Halcandrians and their structures are not prepared for an earthquake of such magnitude. Magolor is the only survivor, as he was with Landia at the time.

Magolor is emotionally shattered by the extent of the destruction and that he is the only one left; he develops survivor's guilt.

"If I had the power to stop this, I would have. I don't want anyone to suffer like this again."

Landia suggests that it might be better to go traveling so he can heal and informs Magolor of the existence of the Lor, buried in the extinct volcano.

He excavates the Starcutter and digs up the Master Crown in the process; Landia takes the Crown from him quickly, worried about what it might do to him in his vulnerable state of mind.

He behaves normally for the length of time it takes to repair the Starcutter before showing the first signs of the Crown's influence; he 'upgrades' the Starcutter to give it weaponry and attempts to fight Landia for the Crown. He loses and flees to Popstar.

The game's events happen. Since Halcandra is in another dimension, along with the Master Crown, the crown's grip fades from his mind but still compels him; he only remembers that he needs to go back to Halcandra for a 'legendary object', but he doesn't know why he needs it. The Crown also blurs his memories of Landia and his friendship with her.

He makes friends with Kirby and the others in the process.

When he obtains the Master Crown again, he feels that putting the crown on will make him 'complete' again, confusing his own emotional pain with the crown's compulsions. Once he puts the crown on, his free will is completely lost.

SURVIVES BEING BLOWN TO BITS SOMEHOW
